Urbanize Atlanta: The first residential component at The Works on Atlanta’s so-called Upper Westside is, well, in the works.
Like other intown adaptive-reuse ventures from The Beacon to Krog Street Market, Selig Development’s The Works first delivered a bounty of food and beverage offerings and is now seeing the addition of housing to help support it.
Selig officials announced a joint venture this week with real estate company GID, developer of Dunwoody’s massive High Street project, that will complete The Works’ initial phase with 306 apartments rising over Chattahoochee Avenue, due west of Midtown.
