Artist Talk: How We Become Exhibition

at Chattahoochee Row | 1:00 pm

Join Town + Culture for the How We Become Artist Talk featuring Chanell Angeli and Roxane Hollosi!

Chanell Angeli is a multidisciplinary artist of Caribbean descent, based in Atlanta. Her mixed-media practice centers around the woven energies of diasporic religions, the flora representative of her childhood, and her Caribbean heritage. Her work creates an immersive and textured experience by using collage, sculpture, photography, and poetry.

Chanell’s most recent body of work weaves together saturated colors and figurative archival images that illustrate narratives of growth and rebirth.

Roxane Hollosi is an Atlanta based, multi-disciplinary artist for the past 14 years. Originally from the Midwest, her early years were influenced by the Native American peoples living near her in the prairie towns of southwest Minnesota. She credits her strong Spiritual Earth connection and often her color palette to the indigenous culture she experienced in these formative years.

The foundation of her work is an exploration of the nature in her, and around her and the energies it emanates.

“In a world that increasingly shouts; my work honors the Whispers.
Vibrant or distressed, I visually document living energies as I feel them.” ~Roxane Hollosi

Both artists are in the exhibit, How We Become, on view until May 22nd.
